  what simple pleasures do you enjoy since leaving watchtower?

  here's some of mine, in no particular order:.

  a cigar: i dont smoke cigarettes at all, but i do enjoy a good cigar from time to time.

  DId you ever fall asleep at the meetings, Assemblys??

  if i'm tierd i fall asleep anywere so the meetings ect were no diffrent my wife would always try to wake me but im a deep sleeper.

  HowTheBibleWasCreated:"your dad woke up screaming". I was afraid to fall asleep, in Dodger stadium seated in the upper level could be very embarrassing..Can you envision waking up out of a bad dream staring at the next level down and screaming, Oh sh--t. I also was afraid of passing gas, drooling on my polyester suit (polyester don't absorb slobber well) or talking in my sleep (this organization is BS).

  Jehovah fired that organization after 1914, Witnesses are clueless. Jehovah "these bonehead idiots has done more damage in my name than any other organization, they have single handily produce more atheist than any others"..

  gluttony seems to be a sin that jw's like to ignore .there are several scriptures that point out that gluttony is a sin, proverbs 23:20-21 "do not join those who gorge themselves on meat".....also i read somewhere that 1% is the number of disfellowshipped jw's each year......how do prove someone is a glutton and not just a person who love food???

  OK, so I'am 170 lbs and 5'11" so if I gain 50 pounds I'am obese or just overweight..

  Approximately 4 out of 5 citizens in Samoa, Tonga and Kiribati are obese or overweight, US is 37th on the list....An obese person in my mind one who can not get out of bed, unable to walk, 400-500 pounds...

  We must admit that gluttony is the most accepted sin in the Christian community, so JW's are not the only ones... Shirley: I forgot about the booze.

  In the 70's the brothers would get together once a week to play basketball, we were in great shape.There were Elders, MS and sometimes missionaries we had a great time, well they put a stop to that. We need to spend that time in the ministry not playing football, basketball, golf or beach volleyball..

  Do you recall any Wt or Awake articles on the subject watch what you eat,, watch your blood pressure, your sugar intake, walking is good for your health, how to reduce stress(well forget about that one we know the solution,leave the borg). I believe if a elder approach someone about their weight they may get cursed out, you may talk to me about what my mate and I do in our marriage bed but not my food intake...

  The seven Deadly sins are those transgressions which are fatal to spiritual progress (how about fatal to your health) ,(1)Pride (2)envy (3) gluttony (4) lust (5) anger (6) greed (7) sloth (the avoidance of physical or spiritual work). One deadly sin would cover all..Stupidity.
